Selling Marge the Orange Tail Hypo Boa

Well, I have decided to sell Marge, my 03′ Orange Tail Hypo Boa. As a joke, I called her Marge after a friend and the name stuck. Now everyone calls this boa Marge.

She is a beautiful Pastel Orange Tail Hypo Boa or as some call pastel hypo’s, a Scarlet Hypo Boa. This boa has given me two amazing litters and the babies tuned out incredible. That is the main reason I am selling her. I kept some of her arabesque, hypo arabesque and possible super salmon jungle babies.

I did not breed her this season or last so she is more than ready to breed this fall. She is about 7ft or so and weighs around 20lbs. I feed her one or two F/T jumbo rats every three to four weeks and she never refuses a meal.

Jungle Boa Het Albino

Last night I was taking pictures of Jungle boas het albino that I’m selling. I found one I really didn’t realize I had. When I say I didn’t realize I had her, I mean I didn’t know how stunning this boa was.

I was in awe by this girl. These pictures do her no justice at all. In person, her color is so bright and amazing. I was taking pictures of boas for sale. However, this girl will probably stay here.

Marge had her babies!

Yesterday was a good day. I came home from work to find that Marge had her babies. This was a Dubay Line Orangetail Hypo boa x Salmon Jungle boa breeding. I haven’t pulled the babies yet, so I’m not sure what the count is. I do know that there are a lot of Jungles. I’ll be keeping a few from this litter that’s for sure!

Once the babies start moving around, I will pull them and get a count. Here are some pictures of the litter.

She’s Gonna Blow!!!

This is Marge. She is a Dubay Line Orangetail Hypo boa. As you can see, she is HUGE. Actually, the pictures in no way show how stuffed she really is. She still has about 2 weeks left. I can’t wait!!! She was bred with a really nice salmon jungle boa.

This is the same girl that produced my arabesque litter last year. She is twice as big as she was with that litter. Maybe twice the babies?

I was so happy with the babies she had last year. The color she passed on was amazing. With each shed those babies keep getting better. These babies should be even better!

2008 Boa Pairings

We had some ups and downs this boa breeding season. We were really bummed out with the results of a few litters, but really excited and happy with the others. We have one more female left to drop. This is the girl that produced the hypo arabesque babies last year. These should be some insane salmon jungle babies!

Here is a list of our 2008 boa pairings:

Het albino x coral albino – (11/30/2007) (POS 2/5/08) (Babies born 5/14/08 – 2 live albinos born but died the next day, 9 slugs) – The good news about this breeding is that the female proved out to be het albino.

Kahl albino x jungle het albino – (Introduced 11/30/2007) (Possible ovulation 2/5/2008) (NO POS) (Babies born 6/7/08) – We got some sweet albino jungle boas in this litter!

Dubay pastel x hog cross male – (11/30/2007) (Ovulated 2/15/08) (POS March 1st) (Babies born 6/12/08)

Big girl (normal) x arab male (added last week of Jan) (Maybe POS March 14 – very small ovulation) (Due June 27th) (slugged out June 21)

Dubay pastel x hypo – (Did not witness an ovulation or POS) (Babies born 7/1/2008)

Scarlet hypo x salmon jungle (introduced first week of Feb) (3/16 – starting to see swelling) (POS April 15) (Due July 29th) – I CAN’T WAIT FOR THIS ONE!

Well, that’s it for this year. I did have a few other parings, but they didn’t take. Maybe this coming season.
